Blogger has recently launched a new great feature in dashboard- Monetize, which brings the easier Google ads setup for the blogger, especially the beginner blogger.
As this feature has already mentioned by Blogger team in their Twitter profile, we would see how great this feature is!
3 Choice, 1 Click to put it on the blog directly
The ‘Monetize’ feature provides 3 common choices and 2 regular positions for a blog, which are ‘sidebar and posts’, ‘sidebar’, and ‘posts’. If you are the existing Adsense user, once you selected the preferred choice and click on the ‘next’, the ads would display on your blog directly without any extra works.
However, I personally suggest that you should proceed to your Adsense account then check and customize your ads, especially the ‘channel’, to optimize your ads for better monetization.
Automatically adjust color for your better monetization
It is believed that the more relevant color of your ads with your blog’s color scheme, the more chances your ads would be clicked. The beauty of this ‘Monetize’ feature is that, even it’s a third party Blogger template, Adsense would adjust the ads color to fit your blog’s color scheme.
Although the limitation is Adsense can only uses its preset color scheme, and you are still suggested to access into account to optimize your ads color, it’s a great improvement of Adsense for Blogger blog monetization.
Not working properly with third party Blogger templates
This is not a great feature, of course. As third party Blogger template is mostly not compatible with Blogger’s new feature, the ‘Monetize’ feature would act badly on this kind of template, sometimes causes a wrong placement on the blog (like sidebar ads displayed on the header).
However, we as the third party template maker would be very happy to update the template to fit this ‘Monetize’ feature, it’s always excited to help Blogger blogs easier!
With the launch of the user-friendly ‘Monetize’ feature, it is very clear that Google wants to make more profit from the Blogger blog. I personally agreed that this is a very clever and strategic move, but as an experienced blogger, would you use this ‘Monetize’ feature to setup your ads? Would you as a blogger, show your ads on the blog for revenue? I do love to hear your words and opinion, thank you!
